On Saturday 8th of May 2021 I read a Article about trees. Something I found difficult was understanding the confusing words. Something I found easy was writing the glossary. Have you ever touched a tree before? Today I found this activity fun! Here is my activity below!
Trees talk to each other-Term 2 2021
Friday 7th May 2021.
Suzanne Simard is a professor of forest ecology at the University of British Columbia. She says ‘Trees help other trees in bad situations so they call it Mother or hub’. She also said ‘There’s all kinds of bugs, especially lots of fungi’. She also said ‘the fungi are dependent on the plant or the trees because they don't have leaves for themselves ’. She wanted to know whether the birches were somehow protecting the firs against the disease that when we cut them out it actually makes it’s way worse.
