Xavier's Current Events Eusocial Plants Term 2

 WALT: Analyse media with an open but critical eye to inform our own opinions. 

Today for Literacy, I was learning about Lord Howe Island and Eusocial Plants. Did you know that Eusocial means a animal or insect showing a new level of social organisation? My goal for next time is to learn more about plants! Have you ever been to Lord Howe Island before? Here is my activity below!  

  

Here is my Recall questions below! 

A group of researchers from University in New Zealand came to learn more about plants.

The key event was about Eusocial plants and creatures that have amazing lives.   

The group of researchers went to an island in Australia called Lord Howe Island which lives in the Tasman Sea between Australia and New Zealand. 



Glossary. 



 Fronds - A leaf  from a Palm tree. 

 Epiphyte - A plant that grows on a plant. 

 Parasite - An organism that lives in or on an organism. 

 Sterile -  It is not able to make children or younger. 

 Deflected - Something that causes something to move.
